About HPRI

Heat Pump Research Institute (HPRI) was established in the year 2020 for promoting the research and developments on heat pump heating systems and thermal energy systems to the society. The Heat Pump Research institute is located at Coimbatore. The institute provides skill based training, manufacturing of small capacity heat pumps for drying and water heating, Industrial heat pumps, technical support and consultation on heat pump based heating systems for drying, water heating, space heating and desalination applications. Also, the institute develops need-based customized heat pump heating systems for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. The institute is conducting training programs, seminars, workshops and conferences (both Online and Offline) to explore the research and developments on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Renewable Energy, Energy Conservation, Heat Exchangers, Modeling and Analysis of Energy Systems etc. The institute supports laboratory facilities for the research scholars working in the field of Heat Pump Heating Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Renewable Energy Systems etc. Heat Pump Research Institute has research collaboration with technical universities for developing heat pump systems for space heating applications, drying and desalination for low ambient conditions.
